Standard of excellence award for association category

Sacramento, CA — The Web Marketing Association recently hosted its annual international WebAward competition and the collaborative team from the California Association of Regional Occupational Centers and Programs (CAROCP) and Full Capacity Marketing, Inc. (FCM) came out a winner with the Standard of Excellence award in the “nonprofit” category. The WebAwards are the standards-defining competition that sets industry benchmarks based on the seven criteria of a successful website including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use.

"The WebAwards look into all aspects of website development; it's not just a beauty contest for websites," said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association. "Our expert judges evaluate the entire interactive experience and reward those sites that are best in their industry. The goal of the WebAwards is to both recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective websites on the Internet today and also provide valuable feedback to entrants on how their sites stack up against their peers and their industry's standards of excellence."

The CAROCP represents California’s Regional Occupational Centers and Programs (ROCPs) which have a 45-year history of maximizing opportunities for students to achieve marketable skills through regional delivery of career technical education classes that lead to college and/or career. CAROCP President, Randy Page said, “This will be a pivotal year for our association as we continue to build a membership that is more inclusive, stronger, and of more value to our members. Our new website is a critical communication tool to help us stay in touch with our members and make sure their voice is heard.”

FCM President and CEO, Celina Gradijan said, “CAROCP plays such an important role in helping legislators understand the importance of ROCPs and career technical education.  The website serves a dual purpose in both legislative outreach and storytelling, and keeping CAROCP members informed and engaged.”
